Medication with Time Change
Sat, 11/05/2016 - 22:50Topic: Parents & Caregivers
This is our first time change to experience while on keppra. If my son normally takes his medicine at 7:15 am/pm, is it important that I give it to him at 6:15 in the morning?

generally a one hour belay is ok since your have a therapeutic level built up in your system. That generally stops breakthrough seizures. I have forgottem to take my meds at night before and couldn't go to sleep 4 hours later I checked by pill bottle I set up with my night meds in it and they weren't taken so I took them and then I could get to sleep and didn't have a seizure. Before I have forgotten them and found out the next morning which means that dose was not taken and still no seizure. As Amy Jo stated it is each persons seizures are theirs and their medications are theirs. Traveling across time zones is different and doing that I made sure I took them like I did at home. Since I was 2 hours behind and it wasn't going to be a really long period of time. I was awake anyway.
