Infantile Seizures....Has anyone out grown them?

Mon, 06/25/2007 - 03:54
Hello, My son Tommy was diagnosed with IS at 4 months old. He is now 2 yrs old. We have gone through many many drugs including some out of Canada. Nothing has helped him. He is very delayed. He doesn't sit up on his own, walk or talk yet. He is in early intervention through the state (NY) He gets OT, PT, Speach therapy, and special education. We have seen some improvements but still cannot get many answers about the future when it comes to Tommy. Is there anyone out there who has a child with IS that has fully recovered or had a treatment that was sucessful for them? I am curious to see how other childern are making out with their forms of treatment. My email address is zeets30@aol.com. THANKS

I'd like to invite you to join the infantile spasms forum at http://www.infantilespasms.com/forum/index.php I am a member (and moderator) on that board. My daughter has IS as well. we are still in the battle against IS, but I think we have a few members whose child outgrew it. And of course there is lots of support from families in our situation.
