I need some serious help!

Fri, 12/05/2014 - 18:07
Ok I have a lot going on and I need some help. My daughter was diagnosed with petit mals when she was 6 and they have been controlled on zarontin for 4 years. She started having tonic clonic seizures a year ago and they put her on zonegran which did not work then tried another medicine which I can't remember. Anyway she was put on lamictal and I was bringing her doses up slowly just like the doctor said. Well I received a phone call from the nurse at school and my daughter's head was hurting and her speech was slurred and she was confused. So I picked her up and her head was shaking as if she was cold but she said she wasn't. I brought her home and she started screaming her head hurt and turned rigid. I called the neurologist nurse she said go to the E.R. so I did. So while we were in there my daughter convulsed and screamed and was weak off and on for several hours. They medflighted her to children's hospital and they ran an eeg on her. Then after all that they told my husband and I that they are pseudo seizures, which I am not convinced, I am thinking it is the lamictal, she is also on MAD diet. If anyone out there can help me I would appreciate it, thanks.
