I need some help with my son

Thu, 08/07/2014 - 12:16

My son is 20yrs old and had a stroke in march 2014.  He has been c/o tingling or a buzzing feeling that starts in one part of his head and goes to another part and is gone.  It's really weird when this happens because he actually jumps or moves out of no where with them.  They happen more often when his brain is over stimulated or his vision is overstimulated.  It could happen 1-20 times per day.  We discussed this with his neurologist and she said it sounds like seizures but couldn't be because he could tell her everything that happens when these go on.  I need someone to tell me if they have the same thing and if a seizure disorder was ever confirmed and how.  These are really becoming problematic for my son and currently he only drives small distances, does not drive at night or on the freeway.  If there is a neurologist on here that has heard of this it would be nice also.  My son's neuro seems to keep blowing this off but it's getting worse.  Help!!!

If the doctor is saying that

If the doctor is saying that one can't be aware during a seizure, she is not correct. One can be quite aware during simple partial seizures, which often have sensory aspect to them. Consider getting a second opinion with a doctor who specializes in seizures.
