Had a scare yesterday.

Why is it when you are doing everything to keep your kids safe, they pull something dumb. My son was out riding his bike yesterday, and I was watching from the back door way. He came flying down the hill on his bike, following a neighbor's truck down the road. Well for some reason, the truck didn't pull into the driveway as he normally does, but simply stopped to back into the driveway. My son who he says thought the same thing, saw it doing this thing at the last minute, and had to veer off to the right into the ditch on the side of the road, then after following the ditch down, came back out onto the road and proceeded to flip over his handle bars. Thank goodness for a helmet. I couldn't believe it. I don't think the neighbors could believe it either. i stepped out of the door and saw my son get up and start coming back up the hill. I called him in. I was so mad because of the stunt he pulled, yet glad he wasn't really hurt. It has been several hours now, and I have noticed, or i should say, he has noticed a knot on his shin. If that is his only wound from this stunt, he should be happy.
