Air travel and epilepsy

Sat, 12/12/2015 - 22:54

Hello,

My 2 1/2-year-old son has epilepsy (associated with SCN1A mutation, but controlled with medication). We are planning a trip overseas, and I am concerned about air travel. Does anyone have experience travelling overseas with a toddler who suffers from epilepsy? Did air travel, jet lag, time change trigger seizures? I know that we would need to keep his routine and make sure he gets enough sleep during the trip. I would be grateful for any tips and advice.

Thank you.
