5 year old daughter with status epilepticus after removal of right occipital and temporal lobe.

Sun, 07/17/2016 - 07:26
My daughter has had 5 status episodes beginning at 9 months. She has had to be in ICU each time for weeks at a time. We got many second opinions and surgery became an option since the EEG and PET scan showed activity only on the right side. She had the surgery on June 20th and seemed to be fine. She also has kidney failure so she received hemodialysis on June 22 and began to seize 3 hours after dialysis. They did another surgery removing her hippocampus on the right side and made slits into her motor cortex to stop the seizures. She was put into an induced coma and every time they try to bring her out of the coma the EEG shows activity on the right frontal and now the left side is beginning to fire off as well. They have given her all kinds of medicine to stop it and nothing is working. Please help us we are at a loss right now and would love to get our daughter out of this coma and back to herself.
