4 Year old First 4 to 5 minute seizure!

Sun, 08/28/2016 - 21:23
My son is 4, Not exactly sure what type of seizure he has either Atypical Absent mixed with complex partial? They are still figuring it out. He has been getting treated for about a year now been having them since about 2years old, still gets about 10 or less a day (better then the 30 some) They usually last a few seconds sometimes with clusters that can make it a minuet Amway he was on Keppra last year didn't help so now Depakote but his blood medicine levels are too highso we are waiting for what the his neurologist is doing next. Now today out of the blue for the first time he went from his normal eye roll up, eyebrows twitch, automatics into a very stiff unresponsive and it looked like he was... Anyway it was hitting about 4 minuets and this was WAY longer then he ever ha any and not his normal type so I had my Husband administer the Diastat, within a minute he came around and the ambulance arrived. However they sat outside with him in the truck with my husband for 30 minutes and decided since he was acting fine (except lowish BP and stumbling, which they say was from the Diastat) that he was okay to stay home and did not need to go to ER. My husband who believes WHATEVER a doctor or emergency person say's took the advice and stupidly signed AMA papers not thinking what it ment and came back in. I told him if they really believed he was fine they wouldn't make him sign a AMA paper and that he should have told them they are NOT doctors and o take him. I was beyond mad/scared but I did not want to frighten my son or his sister anymore so I have been watching him for a few hours the event happened at 6:40 it is now 9pm.... Do you guy's think he is safe now? As i can I breath a LITTLE easier? I am so scared it has never happened before but he seems ok now... just kinda high. Also what should the ambulance have done? I mean I know they should have taken him but why would they say that they don't feel he needs to? They said it before they even took him in the truck for 30mins that since the Diastat worked in a few mins that he was fine. I would say can I call the head person and complained but idk if I can since my husband singed the AMA (Against medical Advice) form) Which tbh I thik the fear clouded his judgment and he was listening to whatever the uniform said thinking they know best. I am gonna stay up all night to watch him and call his neurologist first thing in the morning..... It just ever happened before... In anyone's experience do you think he will be ok overnight? I can't drive I am disabled and my husband is my care taker, he is the one who is suppose to make decision he is usually calm but when it came to his son... he lost it. Idk what I am asking here other then what I last put or maybe I am just venting out my fear.... I don't know whats going on anymore the world is upside down today! I thought I was losing him I just begged him to not leave mommy and I know mom's have kids who have gone threw longer ones and worse ones and that I shouldn't feel so dramatic... I am also pissed at my husband for making a poor decision and myself for not being able to do anything I am useless with MS and mental disorders I have failed him today even if he is fine! I should be healthy so it's not just his father doing it all! Sorry for rant, go ahead and throw the stones but if you have advice please give any whole I wait till tomorrow on his numerologist cal. what would cause a sudden change in his seizure like that if any idea? Is there anything I can do about how the Ambulance responded to panicking parents? Like can we file a complaint?(I know the panic is no excuse) Do you guy's feel he will be ok it's been from 6:4 pm to 9:15 pm now since it happened.
