Hello I am a newbie here. I started having seizures about 4 years ago and started taking k to max of 1500 a day. I decided to get a second opinion and my new neurologist diagnosed from my symptoms that I was having partial on-set and put me on v and weaning me off of k slowly for 4 months. My new instructions are now to take no k in mornings and half of one pill at night. I tried it last week and thought for sure a seizure was coming on and took a half pill at noon. I called him and he said this is normal. I tried this morning again and got scared again! Has anyone else had this experience?? There has got to be a better way!

Please do what your neurologist said since they are the ones that are trying to get your meds straightened out and working for you. Yes you may have feeling like a seizure is coming on. But other things can cause the same feelings. Remember that it takes time for the medication to build in your body and it takes time for it to leave your body. So stop taking it if the neurologist said to and especially if he increased your other medication. As for saying V or K please do not use letters to tell us what medication you rae going to or from. There are several that start with those letters.
