What is a seizure or what

Hi , I'm 17 and a little while ago I was asleep , and I was having a bad dream and I would open my eyes but they were so heavy they would close again . I felt this strong numbing/tingling feeling thru out my body . I felt my muscles in my arms and legs jerk rapidly . I could hear my legs move across the sheets then everything got really dark ( I have a night lite in my room , yes I'm a little scared ) when I came to , my body felt so heavy . Eventually I was able to move . I've been having migraines a lot for years but I've never had anything like this . A friend of mine has seizures so when this happened , I started wondering if I just had one or what was up . I hope it's not bc I plan on joining the National guard next month . Sorry for the long post .
