We have been everywhere!!!!

My husband is 44yrs old and has been passing out and he will look around like he is lost. During these times he wont answer me. He has pain in his arms and legs and says he feels like hes drunk or he will say he is about to die. We have been to every hospital around our area. We were told he is having absence seziures that there is nothing wrong with his heart so thats not it. They put him on Keppra and he cant take it, it causes him to lose his temper(and that is not him). He says he doesn't want to be that way. So he is not taking anything right now and the "episodes" are getting worse. We don't have insurance so we cant just go anywhere. Is there any natural herb that might help. I am just so worried about him. We are lost and don't know what to do.

I know about keppra and there

I know about keppra and there are many posts calling keppra Kep-rage.If your husband hasn't seen a neurologist who specializes in epilepsy that is the place to start. There are many medications that work at stopping seizures. Keppra is just one of them. What works for one person may not work for the nexc. It also depends on how long he was taking keppra because side effects can and generally do go away after the persons body gets used to the medication. Natural herbs may help but they will not control his seizures. If he is having more issues if they are epilepsy then they will get stronger and more rapid. The tests used by neurologists will be an EEG and MRI. The EEG shows the electrical output by the brain and where that activity is comming from. Many will come back normal. I had 20-25 come back normal and I had 1 in which I fells asleep in come back with abnormal activity (seizure activity). The MRI shows the brain from all angles. If the EEG shows activity the MRI can be looked at to view that area to see if there is ANYTHING in that area that can be the cause of his seizures. I hope he gets the assistance he needs and do come back and let us know what happens. Joe
