Was this a seizure or just a migraine?

Wed, 10/04/2006 - 17:52
Greetings: Just wondering for opinions/experiences, no previous health problems, not a klutz by nature and not on alcohol or drugs. A feeling of low blood sugar and light headedness came on, then a previously low grade headache blasted thru forehead and turned into an eye-headache. The eye headache includes a blurred vision of things straight ahead and little bright sparks of white light jumping around. Not a detached retina, had this checked out before. Then bingo lights out. I don't recall passing out or anything, just waking up with my head throbbing and my heads covered in blood, got a few stitches out of it and alot of tests. All test came back negative. I think I had a massive migraine and passed out, Doctors not sure what to think. What do you all think? Any help or comments is appreciated TIA

When you said low blood sugar, I thought of Diabetes. But I am sure the doctors checked that first. How often do you eat? For if it is spread out too much, can cause a seizure from low blood sugar! Was this your first seizure? We also can have auras and can be a migraine before going into a seizure too. Thx Lisa, I don't suffer from Diabetes, but I had a small breakfest that day a a moderate lunch so it had been a light meal day, worst part is no one was around to witness if it was a seizure & since I hit my head very hard, (concussion) I can't recall what happened for sure. Relatives in the family had suffered seizures in their 20's but they were doing drugs at the time, so I don't think that holds much water. Worst part is I am fully released to commute to work and so on and so forth but fearful of passing out again, although evidence points to where I could have just got light headed and caught my shoes on something. After reading all the posts here, watched two movies about epilepsy and other google links, I seem to have lost faith in the medical community and accepted industry treatment methods.

Also Lisa my post injury symptoms line up with a seizure symptoms, but since I whacked my head so good/bad, it also lines up with the results of a concussion. Tosses hands in air.
