Very confused simptoms, I have TLE

Hi!I have been diagnosed with TLE two years ago, but a don't know if this is real, my simptoms are a little diferent and I will like to know if any one has the same, when I get a seizure or getting it a get very dizzy and like light headed, please excuse my writing suddenly a just forgot how to write, some wered feeling in my stomach and the most worst of all is that i get like frozen in that position and if I move, it hurts it dosen't really hurts but it bothers to move is like, don't talk to me don't get near me just live me I get this sesitivity to everything sound and smells get more accurate and they really anoy me, and I almost always start to cry, this will last for a minute or two I don't know but they don't last to long, but then I get this pain in my body, like when you do a lot of excersise, I feel sore all over and my head hurts a lot, I'm aware that this is happening, but can't do anything to stop it, I'm drinking tegretol every day, so they have stoped a lot but when my period is coming I almost always get it, can this be hormonal, is this really TLE, i was diagnosed with this after six years of supossedly been bipolar, mayor depresion and phsicotic, I try every kind of medicine and I even got 17 electroshock to treat the depresion but when my Psichiatry saw that nothing was working did a MRI and found that I had an inflamation on the temporal lobe and in the same day they gave me Tegretol I started to feel better, I'm not bipolar or have mayor depresion I just have TLE. Please I'm very confused and my memory is really bad, can anyone help. Iris

Hi Iris. I was just recently diagnosed with TLE. For as far back as I can recall I used to get a scary "deja vu" feeling usually right before my period each month. Sometimes it was a voice in my head that would scare me or a noise or something that I couldn't explain, but I would become really scared. The feeling would only last for a few seconds and then go away. This would happen a few times a day. Then I went through my menopause and I began to experience severe panic attacks and I felt dizzy alot and walked around feeling lightheaded all the time. In 2004 my family told me I was begining to act weird, spacing out, saying weird things, twitching, fidging. I also had three car crashes. All of these things I had no recollection of. I was hospitalized and all my medical tests were negative. Anyway, after more testing I was diagnosed with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. The neurologist found scarring on my temporal lobes which caused the seizures. The weird feelings I had before my period were apparently part of the TLE and now it has worsened after menopause. My seizures seem to have been triggered by my hormones. But, who knows. I hope this helps, Iris. Please hang in there.
