Sun, 09/11/2016 - 14:38
Hi, My 18yr son was recently diagnosed. He was first put on Keppra but is now being weaned off and is on Valporic acid (also called Epival here). He is nauseated a lot and throwing up often. Has anyone else had this reaction? Does is subside after awhile?

Side effects do go away after awhile. It takes time for the body to get used to the medication. So yes nausea is one of the most common side effects. I never got nausea but I did use it has come out with many names. valporic acid is one of several Depakene was another.
