Triggered by words and sounds

Tue, 08/02/2016 - 08:58
I've been living with epilepsy for about 5 years and strangely enough, not one doctor can tell me what's actually happening to me. I experience grand mal seizures triggered by very unusual circumstances. For example whenever I hear a person sneeze I begin to experience an incredibly intense feeling of dejavu followed by sweating and nausea. I've had grand mal seizures a couple times a month but not at the same time. It is almost always triggered by sneezes and the phrase " God bless you". For the record I'm aware how strange this sounds but it is the truth and anytime I tell this to a doctor they look at me like I'm lying or just crazy. I just want to know why this is happening. Have you ever experienced something similar?
