Has anyone that wears glasses tried the transition lenses to help with the light sensitivity? Just curious if it would help. Lori

Hello, I Have had Transition lenses for a while now and their great for being out in the sun, but beyond that they don't do anything for Photosensitivity. They do not change while inside a cars due to the glass having an UV coating on it to protect the inter. They also change at gradual rate so they do nothing for flashes. So, but your shads on and be cool. Things that I do that help me; 1. remove the bulbs especially above and behind your monitor. 2. add dark leafy plans to absorb the light. Purple passion plant is a good one. it's a vine type you can drape over the face of the florescent light. (as boss first) blue tint is supposed to help. how dark or light I don't know as I'm still researching. hope this helps some good luck. xwovie

I wear transition lenses, and I like them. I have light sensitivity sometimes, and I think it helps, but not right away because you have to give them time to darken after going outside. A downside to them, is it is harder to see to drive at night, and they are more expensive. I don't think I'll ever go back to not wearing transitions.

Just curious - what exactly are transition lenses? I don't need eye glasses for anything at all, but I work in an office where between the reflection of sunlight from windows on one side, the window behind me & 4 floresent lights above me...well, the lighting bugs me (it's a cubical environment - open concept for marketing). Well, I'm on a phone and at a PC all day! Just asked my boss yesterday if we could do anything about the lighting. He basically said - suck it up! I get made fun of for wearing sun glasses at work - get made fun of for lots more than that. Glare screens for the lap top I have are $200 cdn, it would be nice if these transition lenses were cheaper or medically covered. Thanks for any input.
