Can you tell me what causes a computer to malfunction????? There are many causes. Which is also why there are many different treatments. This is not a one size fits all illness. I understand and I want a treatment that will work. I have been living and dealing with epilepsy for 50+ years. So  I do know what caused my epilepsy. But there are many who may not find the reason they have epilepsy. Tests do help many. However an EEG will only go a certain dept into the brain. The brain is a computer that is larger then the ones we use. Everything the body does goes thru the brain. To move your finger it takes electrical impulses hittinh the muscles which causes them to jerk a certain way. That jerk moves your finger into th position you want. Your smile or the blink of your eye are done the same way. Untill you get a computer that will never make an electrical impulse to go off wrong you will not have a perfect brain. I say that because all a seizure is is an electrical impulse going off wrong in the brain causing a chain reaction. Have yo uever had your computer freeze?? If yo uhave then you saw a seizure. An electrical impulse hit wrong causing the computer to freeze once it corrected itself the seizure was over which with your computer it meant your system kept working. Medications are created to keep those electrical imulsses from going off wrong. Kinda like a medicatin I take daily keeps my heart beat at certain levels. I not only have epilepsy I have Afib. I am no doctor but back when I was diagnosed there were no home computers. We hadn't even gotten to the moon. So I research to find out what epilepsy was and research the different kinds of epilepsy. Oh and back then there were no types of epilepsy nor types of seizures. The essay I wrote was used at the jr high I went to. Mr Ramey had it read at student body assemblys for 5-6 years after I graduated. It helped students and teachers understand that epilepsy can be treated and what to do if they see someone in a seizure.
