Hi.. First off I wanted to double check about myoclonic seizures: Myoclonic Seizures http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/seizure_myoclonic.html I don't believe it is directly related to the seizures, but it could well be an emotional reaction of a small child to the seizures (call it early-childhood rebellion) I've found an interesting page that basically says similar (but via a physician). Having coped with seizures since I l was just 3 years old, I can promise you (from that direct experience) that even young children are 'emotionally' affected by seizures.. as they do not understand what is happening. http://www.epilepsy.com/articles/ar_1130770266.html ~sol

Thank you for answering. I appreciate it. I have thought of the adverse affects that all of these doctor appointments and tests and everyone talking about him can have. I never thought of that maybe contributing to his potty training. The doctors have been saying that his speech and comprehension delay could be related to his seizures. So I just thought maybe that was the problem with potty training also, but we are sooooooo new to this, I am just beginning to learn and again I thank you very much for your response.

I would give it a bit more time. You said he is delayed with comprehension and speech. He may also be delayed in potty training too because of these issues. Just give it more time. take care lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/
