Seizures?

Sat, 12/05/2015 - 04:40

Hello, my name is Virginia and I'm 22. I was diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy about 7 years ago, I started treatment and then it all stopped when I was 18. Recently, I began to experience other episodes and I would like to tell you about what they're like because I don't know whether they could be classified as seizures since they don't look like they ones I used to have. It all starts with a strange feeling in the parietal lobe, something like an electric discharge, sometimes it's very intense. As a result of that, I fall to the ground and start making strange jerking movements that I can't control, some parts of my body stiffen but I remain conscious and aware of people around me. Could these be seizures and if they are, what kind of seizures are they?

Thanks for your help.
