Provoked seizure leading to Epilepsy?

Tue, 03/31/2015 - 16:54

I'm a 20 year old male. A week back I had a tooth extraction procedure at the dentist, after which I had a brief 10 second seizure where I lost consciousness. It happened immediately after the tooth was extracted and about 5-7 mins after local anesthesia was administered.
I had a MRI and an EEG done. While the MRI was completely normal according to my neurologist, my EEG showed abnormalities during hyperventilation.
My neurologist suspects it was caused due to the anesthesia and that I'm not epileptic, but I still had a good chance of having another seizure. I'm confused, doesn't 2 seizures qualify as epilepsy? The paranoia of having another seizure is horrible.
Points to consider:
-First Seizure
-No family history of Epilepsy
-Possibly Anesthesia triggered
-Abnormal EEG (Report-Abnormal during hyperventillation, otherwise normal. What does this signify?)

Am I at a high-risk for developing Epilepsy?
How do I deal with the fear of having another seizure?
