New with some questions

Mon, 04/06/2015 - 09:26

Ok, so when I was a baby, I had intractable seizures and was on several medications until I was about 3.  I had grand mals every week and several petite mals throughout the day. I stoppped the medicine by the time I was 4 and was seizure-free as far as I know since a few months ago. However, I have had questions as to whether they stopped or if  I was having absent seizures my whole life.  I am now 28 years old and I had a grand mal 2 months ago. Since, I have had 5 episodes of simple partial seizures.  Has anyone else had this? Where they had seizures as a baby and then lived seizure and seizure meds free for so long, just to start having them again? I haven't gone to the doctor yet, because I don't have insurance, but I have been keeping a diary so when I do go, I have a "record". They typically happen at night while I am awake although the other day, I had one in the late morning.
