New to seizure

Fri, 01/02/2015 - 01:27
have a question and have not really found an answer so far,  a little background info first.  I'm 33, female, had a seizure for the first time around a month ago.  No family history of seizures. At first I was very confused about all of it and was able to find answers to most of my questions except for one.  I have read that it was pretty normal for a person to have memory loss, but it usually lasted a few hrs to a few days. This is my issue,  I'm 1 month post ictal, and am still having extreme short term memory loss, most of long term memory seems to be intact,  but it's like I can't hold any new information or remember that I have already told someone something and i keep saying it.  At times it will take a long time to recall a conversation and am not able to recall a conversation I had yesterday.I  am not on any medicine that could have the same effect,  is this a normal issue after having a seizure ?
