Hello Everyone, I just joined the site today after talking to my doctor yesterday morning. I've had epilepsy for 17 years. Though it took me two years before I found a good enough doctor to finally telling me what was happening. I have been on several different medications over the years and unfortunately none have ever made me seizure free. As of yesterday my Doctor informed me that he took my case to the other doctor's and they have all agreed that I'm a great canidate to have corrective surgery. Though I've know for some time I was waiting for this day, the moment I heard those words I became more scared than I have ever been. I'm now waiting for the surgeon to call and everytime the phone rings my heart feels like it's stopped. The thought of being seizure free after all these years is such a dream but I find myself thinking of any and every possible bad thing that could happen. If anyone could help me calm these fears I would really appreciate it
