New, looking for info

Sun, 07/27/2014 - 10:22

Hi, I'm Erin and not sure where to turn. For the past 1 1/2 years I have been having strange sypotms. I have been to my Primary Dr. and refered to many others. No answers yet (they just keep refusing to different Dr) I feel great at times, then for no reason I feel "funny". It's hard to explain, but I will try. My vision gets fuzzy (can't focus without trying really hard), I get dizzy/ lightheaded, and the top of my head feels heavy. Just last week I felt as everything around me was in slow motion. I could see and hear peolple talking to me, but felt like there was a 2-3 second delay for me to understand and longer for me to respond. After that I felt "off "for 2 more days (tired, slight headache, balance felt like I was drunk) then day 3 everything was normal. Thank you in advance for ANY info you have. Tired of being bounced around....wanting answers.

It might have been helpful if you posted the types of doctors you were refered to...Most of the feeling you have posted could be in seizures. If those are seizures the ydrain energy rapidly. So after one you would be tired and at times it does take time to get back to normal. I would suggest yo uhave your doctor refer you to a neurologist who specialises in epilepsy. He will listen to you. He may want 2 tests. One will be a EEG which is a nrain wave test. The EEG shows the electrical activity comming from the brain. In a lot of cases they come back normal. In others they come back with abnormalities (seizure activity)  But the neurologist will also ask you questions. Please answer them to the best of your knowledge/ Your answers will help him come up with his diagnosis, mediactions and dosages. He may even come up with other procedures
