Need some advice

Thu, 11/12/2015 - 06:34

Hello, My name is Kellsey and I'm 22 years old, As far back as I can remember I've been having small episodes of zoning out. My parent's never paid much attention so I doubt they would have noticed but I started dating my girlfriend last year and she's noticed them and that they're getting worse. They last a minute or two, sometimes shorter. They seemed to slow down for awhile in my mid teens but they've been getting much more frequent this last year or two. I haven't had any major changes in my life or health. I think back on it now and realize that I have had episodes of just blacking out and falling over, all of which were when I was alone so I just brushed them off. Anyways, What's happening now are episodes of zoning out and my girlfriend has noticed my eyes go off in different direction's. I snap out of them and everything goes back to normal. They're happening about 5-10 times an hour at this point and it's quite frustrating. If anyone has any thought's or advice. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

What you have posted could be

What you have posted could be several different seizures. Zoning out  could be absence seizures since most people having them could be called daydreamers. A focal seizure will also look like that. Blscking out is another seizure and while in some of those the person can alsp drop.I would suggest you go to your doctor and have him refer you to a neurologist who specializes in epilepsy. Take your girl friend with you and let her tell him what she has seen.
