My Seizure Experience: memory loss problems

Mon, 04/20/2015 - 11:56

Hi everyone. Just signed up to epilepsy.com, found out about this site while I was researching about seizure and its side effects. I've been taking Phenobarbital since 2003. I've had no problem, I only had seizure attacks whenever I miss taking it. But since last year (2014) I've been having short term memory loss. Like when someone tells me something after awhile I would forget that we even had that conversation. And it really bothers me. Also, when I'm about to have a seizure attack my right eye would be a little blind. Does anybody else experience these things as well?

I was diagnosed with epilepsy

I was diagnosed with epilepsy 15 years ago, I have noticed as time is going by there are so many things I cannot remember. These memories or conversations should not be things to just forget, it's very frustrating. I have twitching before seizures as well, in my arms & my eyes.
