mouth,including tongue and facial numbness

Hi, im looking for anyone who can shed some light one this very odd symptom i seem to be having.  I was recently diagnosed with complexed partial seizures and since the 2nd seizure I  have had a very slight transient numbness on my lips  off late it seems to be spreading to my tongue and throat  i have since been place on zonegran 200mgs but the numbness inmy lips started prior to  any meds.  Last night this numbness went full blown to metallic tasting like i licked a 9 volt battery to left facial sensitivity with nasal burning an extreme sensitve sense of smell my neurologist doesnt think its seizure rlated because it lasted aprox 24 hours without a grand mal seizure i came home from the drs got a extremely dry throat something ive been suffreing with as well vomting my lunch which i couldnt taste or smell when i ate it and it all went away and its slowly retuning.
