memory loss post-seizure, am I normal?

Mon, 04/25/2016 - 13:03
Hey so I'm 19 and am a freshman in college. I had my first grand mal seizure when I was 5. All results were inconclusive and I was put on medication for 5 years. But all of a sudden last semester I started having them again. This time they were more subtle and have become increasingly more violent and long. I am usually pretty good at remembering things but lately I've been really spacey so to speak. I don't remember spring break, conversations I had with people, assignments that were due, and even forgot to go to practice one day (which I have had everyday at the same since August). I am not on any medication as of right now. Is this memory loss normal? Most things I've researched say memory loss is normal when you forget what happened right before or when it's medically induced. But is my condition normal?
