Just saying Hello

Tue, 11/14/2006 - 13:40
I'm Michelle 25 years old. I had my first seizures at the age of 9. Where I had Grand mals all day long. They kind of came out of no where. I come from a family of ten and I am the 9th child. I recently submitted my story to the site to see if they'll publish it and also have recently posted my frustrations with my medicine or medication issues under the medication topic. I am looking forward to possibly sharing my experiences and learning from others about theirs. Maybe it will make things a little easier to deal with to see others with a common issue. I may even find some of the answers I have been looking for. I watch my husband be so frustrated and I wish he could only understand what its like to have Epilepsy. My younger brother has it too. But his is different he experiences no problems and skips his meds most of the time. His seizures were caused from a birth defect where they think mine were induced by over doses of asthma meds as a child. Now I'm stuck with it. I hope to meet lots of new people and in time learn to appreciate this illness instead of resent it. So hello to everyone!

Welcome Michelle! I can not share in your experiences, I do not have E myself my 4 year old son does. I just wanted to say HI and welcome to the site. I know how it is to be new to the site and just sit and wait for a response to your blog. I have met many people here and found lots of answers to my questions. It may also be a good idea to get your husband in here. There are lots of us in here that do not have E ourselves but live with someone who does and we have our own concerns and questions and he may learn a little more about it and understand you better. Anyway, Welcome I hope you find what you are looking for here it is a great site.
