Im really scared...Im frightened

Please, Help normally Im not easilly frightened I am severly diabetic and asthmatic...and cope well But since taking grand mals I am frightened silly I cant seem to come to terms with this epilepsy I am in denial I think...I dont know if the grand mals were caused by my blood sugar becoming a bit low..last grand mal I had I was unconcious for 30 mins... medics told my husband...well its ok she has no brain damage due to brain being starved has my husband heard them right... I am so afraid really I am

From what I understand, one of the complications of diabetes is grand mal seizures if your blood sugar goes too low. I would definitely get this checked out, you mentioned you are severely diabetic, perhaps the seizures are a symptom of the diabetes not being controlled as well as it should be or something. Definitely get this checked out. Good luck to you.

Hi Lilac n Lace, I'm sure this is a very frightening time for you ! I'm glad to see you have made an appt to get this all checked out. It might be a good idea for you to keep a journal of your episodes, including what was going on before the seizure, observations from people around you, and how you felt afterwards. It will help the doctor to know these things and to reach a diagnosis.
