Hello all, I am new here! I just got home from my appointment with my neurologist and I don't know what to think. He has expressed concern over a 48hr EEG I had done a month or so ago. He said there were some abnormal findings but he couldn't be sure about his conclusion, and said that he might put me on antiepileptic meds. This is what the report says: "Intermittent theta waves with sharp looking component seen bilaterally, more arising from the right parasagittal area. I can not rule out epileptiform discharges entirely. Clinical correlation is recommended." Thanks for any input you give!

He has expressed concern over a 48hr EEG Concern is generally something to look at He said there were some abnormal findings   he might put me on antiepileptic meds  He is concerned and if you have only had 1 seizure then he is going to check everything again If you have had 2 or more seizures then his diagnosis would be epilepsy since 2 seizures is all that is needed.. "Intermittent theta waves with sharp looking component seen bilaterally, more arising from the right parasagittal area. I can not rule out epileptiform discharges entirely.   Clinical correlation is recommended    Which means the neurologist may want you to take an MRI so he can check that area of your brain to see if anything in that area is different from what it should be. Scar tissu a growth deformation or anything. After checking everything then he may make his diagnosis. I hope this helps Joe
