I need some insight

Hello, I am looking for some help. Last night I had a strange experience that I will try to explain in just a moment. I don't know if it was a seizure or not.. and if it was what type it would be... I feel very frightened by the occurrence and am just looking for some insight. The last week or so Ive had a lot of trouble falling asleep. My eye lids don't want to shut all of the way and when I try they have little muscle spasms. I assumed that this was caused by some mild dehydration. Last night it was awful, I couldn't get comfortable and even when my eyes were shut I felt that I had no control over my mind. I was seeing colors and textures and then started to feel ill. I sat up and felt slightly numb or like I was going to faint. I got up and started pacing around the house, got a drink of water and returned to bed. I thought that I was about to drift into a dream, I was still feeling funny when the colors and textures got really intense. I suddenly realized that my eyes were shaking and jolted out of it. I was really freaked out at this point, but couldn't fully grasp what was going on.... I tried to relax by concentrating on my breathing, but it happened again. This time I recognized my eyes shaking almost right away and snapped out of it... By this point, I was terrified to try to fall back asleep. But eventually, I did. THis morning I feel relatively fine. My right eye is bothering me a little. Feels like there is pressure and my eyelid muscles want to spasm. I remember everything though. Including the colors and lines (don't know how to describe them though.) Cognitively I am fine, My memory is fine... I'm just so confused... Please help!
