How do you carry your Diastat?

Thu, 08/03/2006 - 08:27
I have a 8 y.o. daughter that has be prescribed Diastat Accudial. She has been instructed to have it with her at all times. I am trying to find some kind of carry case for her to take to friends house, soccer practice, etc. that is small and will hold one of the accudials, so that she won't have to take the large 2 pack. We learned yesturday that it doesn't take much to knock the dispenser which makes it unusuable. (It was in a soft-sided fanny pack). The medicine will be given to an adult to take care of, but I just need something that is appropriate for her age, but will also protect the accudial. Any suggestions? Thanks, Lori Mom of newly diagnosed 8 y.o

Hi, I obtained a carrying case from the makers of the diastat. I went to their website and happened to see an offer for one. I don't know if it's still available or not, but if don't see it on he site you could contact them to see if they have any left. It was free and came with a instruction cd. Hope this is helpful. Kim
