hi, another newbie

I,m Rick I am in wichita kansas.
I have g/m and apparently a lot of the other types of seizures.
I have started on "new" meds and really are not liking it. "tegretol" and I have sleep probs also so I am mixing meds and still am trying to line up all the side effects.
I had 3 g/m seizures in one day in july and am disabled because of it?
I have some serious side effects that are just not going away. I have a million ?,s.
I tried to get on chat but it is just blank
oops I can see the writing in real time but it does not allow me to post ?
Is this forum in the U.K. or U.S ?
Right now I,m real brain dead from either side effects or just the flu?

thanks, if I can ask, what types of seizures are you having?
I just could not imagine having what is happening to me, happen that many times in a day, it would turn me into a zombie.
But also I am just learning that the auras and other weird things that I had for yrs. are actually different types of seizures so this probably happened to me and I did not know it ,and atually thought it was
"panic attacks" or over worked because that is when it was happening to me .

Hi Rick, Welcome, I am somewhat a newbie myself. I have been here 3 weeks now, my 4 year old son has seizures. I just wanted to let you know I spend a lot of time in the chat room and it is a great place to ask questions. The forum is in the US and there arent usually many people in there in the day time. Lots of people in the evening and night. It gets really busy late (I guess lots of people have sleep problems ha ha) Maybe try another time if you went in there and didnt find anyone. Thats where I have gotten all of my questions answered and made some really wonderful friends. Hope to chat in there with you soon. Arika

HI Rick, I haven't had grand mal seizures since I was a baby. I am on Tegretol and it doesn't do much for me I have 1-3 seizures on Tegretol the most seizures I've had is 6-8 in one day, usually though it is beacuse I am getting ready to get sick. Is all the side effects from the Tegretol or from other medications you are taking? I don't have any side effects from the Tegretol. I feel though it isn't helping me very much because I have at least 3 seizures per day. I am doing an observation in the next 2 months or so to find out where my seizures are coming from because they aren't really sure and since the medication isn't working too great that might be my best option.
