Hangover seizure? Do i have epilepsy? Considering taking keppra...

Mon, 05/09/2016 - 02:02
I am 22 years old. When i was about 10 i had a random seizure but I was taking adderall and zoloft at the time and the hospital and doctor wrote it off as a side effect of the medication. After that i didn't think about it much until 3 months ago after my friends 21st birthday party. I was up until 5 in the morning at his party and drank copious amounts of alcohol. I woke up 5 hours later and went to work, hadnt eaten or had much water and felt absolutely horrible. I was working for an hour when i wake up in an ambulance and them saying i had a seizure at work and fell on my face. Everybody i encountered said i need to be careful with drinking and it was "obviously an alcohol seizure" or dehydration or sleep deprivation or a mixture of all of it. I wasn't terribly worried, but i went to a neurologist and got an EEG. I was sleep deprived and they said it was abnormal. They said there was "two 2 second blips" of abnormal waves or whatever. So they had me take a second EEG which was extremely sleep deprived and again, it came back abnormal. So now i am not sure what to do. I've been hungover before and this never happened, I've been sleep deprived before, I've done lots of things you would think would trigger a seizure in an epileptic person. He is now suggesting Keppra but it seems with research I've done, that it would add many many more complications to my life. I already have depression/anxiety problems so this is driving me crazy... Will i just have a random seizure at work one day soon? Should i expect to never drive again? Should i never drink again? This just came out of nowhere and the fear of randomly having one is terrible.
