Epilepsy, faint, blackout , sycope, what is my diagnosis?

Hi, Ok, this is a long shot…. For the last 15 years, every 2/3 years I collapse. I don't get any aura, the only feelings I get is a panic, palpitations, sweaty, light headedness and I’m generally hungry. On a couple of occasions I’ve been attempting to get some lunch. Always seems to happen when I’ve not been sleeping very well, and I’ve had a couple of coffee. Typically don’t drink coffee after the first instance of this. It started when I was about 35 years old, I’m now 43 years old. I’ve had about 5 in total. Always standing up right, if I can manage to find a location to sit down it might pass, but it’s difficult to say. My most recent attack was in mid February 2016, and the witnesses mentioned seeing me looking dazed, then collapsing, then going stiff, and shaking – essentially a seizure. I’m out for a couple minutes and it takes about an hour for me to come round, tongue biting. Essentially a grand mal, with no symptoms other than the symptoms expressed earlier. I’ve had a numerous EEG, ECG MRI scan which all come back negative for epilepsy. I’ve recently had a sleep deprived EEG, I’ve not had the results yet, but it felt similar to the other EEG’s and I’ve a feeling that this will come back negative too . The consultant has also referred me to cardiology for tests and a tilt table test. The last time I went to see the consultant, expecting to get treatment for epilepsy but he didn’t. The consultant comments where “ it all feels a bit fainty”, after describing the events leading the collapse. Even with witness testimony and the history the consultant wouldn’t like to treat for epilepsy because we wouldn’t know if the medication was affective until a couple of years’ time. But in the event that I had one in a couple of years, it might even be the medication that could potentially cause it. Its incredibility frustrating because I can’t plan anything, I know I won’t have another one for a couple of years’ time, maybe more. In cases like this what usually happens regarding treatment? If this is epilepsy, with 2/3 yearly episodes what treatment can I get? What is the likely hood of driving again? I suppose my worst nightmare is that the consultant cannot guarantee that I’m safe to drive, because they can’t find a diagnosis and therefore can’t treat it. Meaning that I might never be-able to drive? Any assistance/ advise welcomed James
