does anyone get ear pain?

Wed, 02/22/2006 - 13:10
i first started out with the fatigue, left arm and face go numb. now both arms get pain in them. and now left arm gets a cold, frozen like feeling, my left eye gets alot of pressure behind it and on bad episodes i get spinal pain and like a burning sensations from my neck all the way down. in the last few months i get a really bad ear pain. and now its in both ears. its like someone poking me with a sharp object in my ear. is this normal? the dr's had no clue. geesh. im just trying to figure out if these seizures are being caused by something else other than in the brain? does that make sense? im seeing another dr for a nerve test next..thank you all for your time..

I realize this post is now

I realize this post is now over 10 years old, but I'm experiencing the same thing.  I had my first aura in September of 2015.  Then I had an aura, that was followed by a tonic clonic, in November of the same year.  Sometime between that first and second seizure, I began experiencing earraches.  I had NEVER had ear pain before.  Since then, my seizures have been controlled and I haven't had one since Nov. 2015, but about 75 - 90% of the time,  I have a dull ache over my left ear, like from my temple back.  And I have intermittent earaches in that same left ear.  I've explained it to my dr. and my neurologist, and my head CTs and MRI doesn't show anything, so they're not concerned.

Man do I sympathyze with you on a couple levels!  I have had sleep seizures ever couple of years when medicated and just got used to them...although always hated them.  I have only had one seizure while awake.  However, after my last seizure two weeks ago, I have had some sinus pain...but that's not the problem.  A couple days ago, I could not sleep because of the anxiety.  Then I began to get the numb leg feeling and then my left arm went numb, tingled and felt like someone was running ice over it.  Went to the E.R. had a bunch of tests and everything checked out.  Still don't know what causes it or how to get rid of it...but it has made nightime an "adventure" that I don't look forward to.
