Hi This is for all people new to epilepsy, please do not make the same mistake i did. Seriously it will shock & tear you to shreds. I can not believe how scary it is & how i look. I have had about 6 public daytime ones in the last few years. Devastated they have started in the day, ruined my life & confidence, i will never go any where i had one. I have given up my new dream career as i'd never want it in front of them (hell no)! I will not go out in public. I have tried loads of Meds side effects were just to heavy to live a comfortable happy life. I am happy to see if one i'm on now controls it in a few months. If not to be honest there isn't many left to try! To all you strong people well done you are amazing. I bet most of you have something you couldn't leave behind though?? If this Med doesnt work for me. I am saying 100% gameover!

So now your life is ruined you are devasted lost your confidence, will go nowhere you had one, You gave up your dream career and will not go out in public. INteresting!!I have tried loads of Meds side effects were just to heavy to live a comfortable happy life <<<< would you rather be having more seizures then you are now??? I was having as many convulsive seizures in 4 mnths then you had in the past few years. I didn't stop going out in public. As for medications there are many and probably more then you think. If you want better control it requires working with your neurologist and asking quetions. today neurologists try and get control of a patients seizures using 1 medication. But with some people it may not work. Any and all medications are tested to make sure they are created to stop seizures. Onc approved the testing doean't stop. They are then tested to see which other types of seizures that can stop. Oh but the testingstill doesn't stop. They are then tested to see which medicatins that will work with to stop seizures. The way I got better control of my seizures was by asking question at every visit. I also answered the neurologists questions truthfully. I was still having 4-6 seizures a week. Oh and since I can have several types of seizures we did discuss the different types I had. Is this medication the best medicatio for m kind of seizure? Is the dosage too high or do we need to increaase it for better control? Is there a better medication for my seizures? Are there any procedures that might help get better control? Could coupling this medications with another one control my seizures better? It took time but by working with doc we have gotten the number of seizures I was having down to a seizure every 8-14 days. The time in the seizures has been reduced fron 5-8 minutes to 5-8 seconds. So before you say 100% game over ask questions and see if the neurologist comes up with a medication or coupling of medications and dosages that can help you get better control...

Quit making a mountain out of a mole hill.there are 365 days a year,24 hrs per day.and you had a few lousy events. Listen to David Bowie rock n roll suicide, you are not alone.
