Do I have TLE?

I'm relieved that after so long I may have an answer. In the summer of and into November of 2015 (I was 27), I was having these strange episodes that I couldn't really explain. It would begin with an intense feeling of deja vu or nostalgia that would always be triggered by a smell; rain on the pavement, food cooking, a specific shampoo, etc. This would be followed by tingling, or butterflies sensation that started in my throat and moved down into my stomach, and then a hot flash. All of this would last less then a minute. I would get several in a day sometimes. I passed it off as anxiety, because I've always had that, until Thanksgiving when I had one and got dizzy enough after an episode to have to sit down. I tried to explain it to my husband and I'm not sure he really understood. I probably sounded nuts saying that I was feeling weird after "almost remembering something." I never went to get it checked out because they stopped and I haven't had anything like it happen since, and had pretty much forgotten about it. The reason I'm posting now is because it came up in a conversation and I decided to Google what had happened and discovered that it was common for people with temporal lobe epilepsy to have similar symptoms. Although scary, I'm relieved that I don't feel crazy. My question for anyone suffering from TLE: is it normal to just not have any symptoms for over a year? I plan on getting it checked out at some point but I would find it hard to justify going to a neurologist for something that happened over a year ago that hasn't occurred since. I wasn't then, and I am not currently taking any medications for anything. I wasn't and haven't since had children. I'm only a social drinker.

Hi.  My temporal lobe

Hi.  My temporal lobe seizures started two years ago.  I had one and then didn't have my second for 6 months.  Then started having them more frequently; then they went away for 10 months during pregnancy.  Then came back with a vengeance.  They seem to ebb and flow for me.  I hope that helps.  If it happens again, I would definitely see a neurologist.

I've had them since age 5

I've had them since age 5 (age 39 now).  Sometimes I would have two in day, or a month, or a year.  I've even had several years pass by without any.  I'm currently going on seven years without one, but I know this condition didn't just heal itself.  I feel like I'm living on a fault line - there might not be an earthquake today or tomorrow, but one of these days...
