I think it is too much but they tell me the level should be between 10 and 20 mine is 6.2 that's why the increase. I have tried to find the maximum dose on dilantin but can't find anything. Does anybody know the maximum dose and is anybody else on that high of a dose???

The dosage you take is not

The dosage you take is not the level the neurologist is looking at. Therapeutic levels are the levels in your blood system. Meaning seizure medications are not like aspirin where once taken it is gone after a few hours. The therapeutic level is the level built up in your system. That level can keep you from having a seizure if your medication dosage is taken late or even forgotten. The dosage you are at is about 1/4 the amount I took in the morning when I was taking it.
