Did I just have a partial seizure? (Dream seizure?)

Wed, 08/26/2015 - 02:24

Hi, I'm a 20 year old male, no health conditions other than a lower back bulging disk. Never had a seizure before, but I might've just had a small one and wanted to ask for help before I forgot what it felt like.

I was in a dream about playing a videogame with my friends when I blacked out for what felt like a second. I felt my fingers tremble a little bit and my arms/legs not quite move or jerk but just tense and untense a little rapidly. My eyelids seem to kind of press into each other and untense? Kind of felt like the eyelid trembling that I sometimes get when I'm too tired.

The thing is, I felt this from the position that I was sleeping in and NOT the position that I was in the dream (I was sleeping on my left side, and once I fall asleep in a position I very very very rarely ever move from that position) and I was conscious of these feelings IN that position. Note: None of my limbs actually moved from the original position.

No idea how long I actually was in this state, as it was several hours since I had actually gone to bed.

When I fully "woke" (I felt no gradual waking, I just kinda hopped to 100% wakefulness) I felt no aftermath symptoms: no weakness/soreness, no vision or hearing impairment, and my thinking was pretty clear. The only thing was maybe a little pain on the back of my head that only lasted about 5 minutes.

Was this just a bad dream, or is this more like a partial seizure that happened while I was sleeping?

Thanks!

Anybody at anytime any where

Anybody at anytime any where can have epilepsy. Rich poor what ever race.If this was the only time this has happened then I wouldn't worry about it. Many people have different things happen that may have no relationship with epilepsy.A person can have a convulsive seizure and not me an epileptic. I have a friend who may have a seizure (simple partial) but he isn't an epileptic. His seizures are side effects to a medication he has to take.  A diabetic can also have a seizure.
