Deja vu ~ sezuires?

Hi there everyone ..I just joined this site after reading the Deja Vu entry and i just HAD to respond !! I haven't read all the way down but will after i post this ...I am 48 years old and just around two months ago was standing in the bathroom going pee when i had a deja vu ..which for me is quite normal ..but what happened after wasn't ..it just kept getting stronger and stronger to the point like i felt I was being abducted from my body ..i had a taste in my mouth that I knew what it was but I couldn't figure out what it was if that makes any sense ! My friend I live with was in her bedroom and I ran in ( i think i was grounding myself ) and I was rambling on and on about the taste in my mouth she said ..this lasted about 3 -5 minutes ..and when it stopped i came out of it not knowing what the hell had just happened and memory loss ..which is the weird part ..i remember something like talking and feeling very I guess like an out of body experience ..the more I came back into reality the more I realized i lost most of the memory of what had just happened to me except I recall the taste in my mouth ..I felt as if i was in control enough to walk and my body was in control enough to go ground itself to another person for safety ( i am self diagnosing here ) after this experience I fell right asleep ..I think I dont know I woke up feeling strange in the middle of the night not sure if i was just recalling the situation and was scared or what ..I left it as a bout of phycosis..until the next one happened about 3 weeks ago ..this one the exact same thing ..started with a deja vu and a childhood memory ..extremely powerful taste in mouth different from the previous ..felt I knew exactly what it was but couldn't pinpoint it ..total memory loss ..and feel right to sleep again after this one . as the days went by i had told a friend of the experiences I was having and she just said that was a very strange thing ..i had an appointment with my neurologist and would just tell him about it ...i felt as if it would never happen again . two nights ago I had a huge one ..this one was much more powerful then the previous two by a long shot ..lasted much monger except my room mate said i was going on and on about the bottom of a boat ..I swear I was talking about something totally different and dont even recall that ..when i came out of it for about an hour i was scrambled and thought I was okay but was far from being back to normal ..as if I was coming down from a bad trip in my teen age years ..so now I found this site seen this entry and just had to tell my story in hopes of getting some insight from you guys ..I know a lot of these entries are much older but if ANYONE can help if they read this it would be so great to know what to expect ..i have a neurologist. appointment on the 12th of May ..but fear I will have another episode before that if the time line of the last three repeats ...thanks for reading this long entry !!

Auras are basically seizures

Auras are basically seizures and for those that get them they are warning of a possible larger and stronger seizure happening. Now What you posted are or could be different seizures. The loss of memory is from a time period you lose consciousness. Which happens in different types of seizures. I do know about appointments with doctors. Relax some and do go to the appointment and tell him/her about this post and take your friend if possible because she has information that can be used by the neurologist. Also if you like the neurologist build a close relationship with them because many questions can be answered in a phone call

Well im pretty lucky as I have had the same neuro. dr. for the past 20 years ..it was him who told me I had tourette's syndrome ( which I didnt want to believe lol ) I thought it was only the vocal issue to have it ...I have the pretty extreme muscle flexing one ..and I used to get a "click" in my brain that would tell me it was time for the flexing to move to a different body part like the stomach from the neck ..or from the arms to the squinting etc ..I no longer get this "click" inside me and i am stuck on my neck flexing for the past 5 years or so ..anyhow I have called the office and i am just waiting for a call back to see if I can get in earlier then the 12th of May ..I am absolutely terrified of having one of these if i am outside the home ..as I seem to run and go lach onto my friend as if to hold myself down to the earth so I dont get sucked away from whatever ..also each one is getting stronger than the previous one so that has me concerned !

Thank you for your reply Frank ..I am going to call him tomorrow ..i had an appointment with him for my tourettes .. i cant stop flexing my neck muscles ..but its recently getting much worse ..ive had this since i was a child ( it goes from one part of my body to the next ..sometimes grunting not as much tho ) ..so i made an appointment and this has happened in the meantime I know I said this started about two months ago but after speaking with my friend again tonight she narrowed the dates down a little sooner than I previously had thought and this has all taken place within the last 5 weeks ..she said If i call them tomorrow and explain they may get me in much sooner ..my biggest fear now is what if this happens to me outside ..what will I do ..they have happened so fast and i really dont know other than the first deja vu feeling what might trigger them for the time being ..i have experienced deja vu my whole life much more than most people i know ..so now im almost paranoid of getting one knowing it may escalate into this ..and they are getting stronger with each one ..one thing on my side is all three took place around 10pm or later ..so if its triggered by my body getting ready for sleep or end of day wearing down ..at least that will be on my side ..thx again for your help !
