Deja Vu and Gaggin

Tue, 06/02/2015 - 11:51
I had my first seizure a year and a h alf ago I Have been getting a feeling like deja vu and then I will start gagging to the point where I almost throw up. this feeling has been getting worse in the last few months have also I have been getting sensations in my legs as if my cell phone is on vibrate it last just a few seconds and I will check my phone but nothing. I have put my phone in my back pocket and I still feel the same vibration type feeling without my phone in that area. These feeling don't lead to a full blown seizure. Are these Auras?

They could be suras but they could also be simple partial or back in the old days focal motor seizures. AUras are seizures in themselves some will use auras others simple partial seizures. You need to discuss this issue with your neurologist. Your medication or dosage may need to be changes or increased.

my seizures are exactly like

my seizures are exactly like you said. Before my diagnosis, I had strong deja vu that would lead to panic followed by gagging that would lead to vomiting most of the time. I don't remember the leg sensation but after an episode, I would have really bad memory recollection and feel completely worn out for 2 days. Mine ended up being focal seizures in the temporal Lobe. Once I started medication, they were better, but everytime I have deja vu sensations, even without the gagging part, I mark it as an "episode". My doctor usually changes my medicine dose when they increase in frequency. I would let your neuro know what's going on.
