Confused

Hello all, I am a 23 year old female. I was diagnosed with partial seizures when I was 17 and went through just about every possible medication.at this time I had a lot of memory loss which led to hazy recollections of which medications helped. Now I am 23 and for the past 2 years I've had increased "staring spells" leading to car accidents, memory loss up to a week, and cognitive concerns. I have daily migraines and a cyst in the center of my brain; both of which may or may not be related. My neurologist put me on .5 Klonopin for management purposes but I have been on it almost a year and think I now have built a tolerance to it. Is anyone else living with partial seizures? Any tips (including medication or other treatments)? Please tell me your story so I know I'm not alone.

So 17 to 23 means 5-6 years. diagnosed with partial seizures. went through just about every possible medication. for the past 2 years I've had increased "staring spells" leading to car accidents, memory loss up to a week, and cognitive concerns. I have daily migraines and a cyst in the center of my brain..  on .5 Klonopin for management purposes but I have been on it almost a year and think I now have built a tolerance to it. You are not alone.. It has taken me a lot of time but rather then 2-4 seizures a week. and those lasting 5-8 minutes and post ictal time another 15-45 minutes we have gotten them down to a seizure every 8-14 days lasting 2-5 seconds. As for telling you my story it is way too longAs for medications I have been on almost every medication and lots of combinations of medications. That also means all their generics. Consider the fact that I was diagnosed back in 1964. Technology has done wonders and medications today are a lot better then they were back then. Today neurologists have specialties and the ones you need to be going to are neurologists that specializes in epilepsy. They a know more along with knowing other procedure that can help control your seizures. Todays medications have fewer side effects too.I hope this helpsJoe
