Completely new to Epilepsy and completely lost

I really don't know where to start! I'm a disabled Veteran, I'm 40 and just had my first seizure Feb. 2016 while in the hospital. It was what they called a Grad Mal seizure I was evaluated and ekg ran done then released. I kept having violent grand mal seizures some 5 at a time. I finally went to the VA ER and was diagnosed with epilepsy. The VA doctor says there is an abnormality on the left side of my brian. Little did i know my nightmare had just begun. They have taken my drivers license so I am no longer able to work i lived with a friend who stole my medicine's. The doctor put me on kepra and topamax which has calm the grand mal seizures down now I'm living with my boyfriend and dealing with another type of seizure where i just "fall out" for a lack of a better term. I can be standing sitting talking to someone, be at church or dinner and it's almost like i just fall asleep. It takes me about 30-45 sometimes an hour to come out of it to where i feel like myself again. My vision is double my hands cramp up my legs feel heavy and my brain feels like jello! I also have had seizures at times when we have gone out to dinner and he said i interacted with my boyfriend walked with his help out of the Resturant and into the house changed my clothes then sat on the couch and he said he found me passed out deep in a seizure that lasted 20-30 mins. I feel cut off from the world I have no friends anymore bc who wants to deal with this mess! I'm so depressed I feel like giving up!! I lost my job my freedom (when they took my licence) I don't know what to do and don't know what's wrong with me!!!
