Am I having seizures??

Mon, 08/07/2017 - 13:10
Roughly 10 days ago I had some sort of spell. I felt like I was dreaming but I believe I know what was going on. It last approximately 3 minutes and I became extremely tired. A few days later the same thing at Walmart. A few more days pass and it became significantly different. I woke up with a bad headache behind my right eye and a bad stomach ache. I figured headache whatever and stomach ache was maybe cuz I was beyond starving. It'll go away. I remember leaving my house for work. The next thing I know I'm laying down on my couch texting my wife explaining what I remember. She took me to the ER. All blood tests were good. My primary doc is giving me an EEG Wednesday. Doesn't wanna do an MRI but he will if I ask. I'm 30. My dad started having seizures in his early 30s. My uncle has seizures. Is that what I'm having???

This sounds like it could very well be a seizure! I would definitely have an MRI done! Just keep in mind your EEG may come back "normal", but if it does, this just means that seizure activity may be too deep in the brain to capture on EEG. So if it comes back normal and your doc tries to tell you that you're fine or that you're crazy, see an epileptologist if you are able to! Epileptologists know alot more than the average neurologist. Epilepsy can be very hereditary! I wish you the best of luck and God bless!!
