All my tests come back normal... Why???

I'm really getting confused as to what's going on with me. I was diagnosed in 2014 with epilepsy by a neurologist after having several episodes of unconsciousness followed by confusion and memory loss. (In one of my episodes I woke up on the floor with a broken nose.) I had an MRI and an EEG test I wore for several days that both came back normal. He still diagnosed me but didn't tell me a type or anything, just put me on medication and sent me on my way. I now have a new neurologist who doesn't think I have epilepsy but instead Periodic Limb Movement Disorder since I mentioned that I noticed most of my seizure activity in the evening/night time. So she gave me an MRI and a 24hr EEG and they both have come back normal as well. I'm still having episodes regularly yet have been on the same medication since my initial diagnosis in 2014 trileptal and topamax. I am so confused. I don't know what to think. I lost my job due to unreliability. I cannot drive anymore. I've got a horrible time remembering things. I feel like I'm going insane. Please tell me I'm not the only one this has/is happened to... Please? - Thank you in advance.

I don't know what's going on however I can tell you are not alone. I have the exact same symptoms and the exact same end result after visiting a neurologist. They pumped me full of medications that made my seizures twice as awful and now I'm just on my own. I've had ask the sane tests ava they all came back normal but the seizures still occur...I'm right there with you, I lost my ability to write a steady job, as well as losing my drivers license...I'm right there with you.
