Up to 50 auras a day?

Mon, 10/05/2015 - 16:00

Hello,

I would appreciate so much to find anyone that has experienced anything similar to this!

For two or three solid days each month I have intense and frequent *dream-ja vu visions. Flashes of past dreams that come into my mind sometimes up to five times a minute.. I will have a sensation of deja vu and recall dreams that are very recent or up to 15 years old! I've started writing down the specific dreams but some of these sensations include very old memories.. even the memory of my first deja-vu, oi!

Everything from turning my head a certain way, doing repetitive tasks or focusing seems to trigger the same experience over and over again. When this happens I will feel my stomach drop, almost like clockwork.

In the passed few months these "I've dreamt this before" experinces have become much more frequent. These moments take up an entire days sometimes. Is this normal in any way for someone with epilepsy?

I know that an Aura is a seizure itself.. I have not lost conciousness when this has happened. What I worry about is the frequency in which I am experiencing these feelings and how much time it is taking away from my life. It's happened at work this passed week and a coworker mentioned me seeming very unfocused. People will be speaking to me and I will be experiencing these crazy flashbacks that seem to be triggered by anything. Has anyone had seizures that involve dreams, is my brain going in to REM sleep throughout the day or something?

Everyone is different and has felt so many different things. I am just worried and wondering what I should do.

Thank you so much,

Stella

Each persons aura or seizure

Each persons aura or seizure is different. If this were happening to me I would be first discussing this with my doctor even if he isn't a neurologist and if I wasn't an epileptic. If you have a good relationship with your GP then by all means call him/her and talk about this issue. They may know a neurologist that specializes in epilepsy who they can refer you to. If you already have a neurologist then contact him. With seizures the longer they are without treatment the more frequent they become and the stronger they will be.Joe
