Was it a seizure?

Fri, 02/04/2011 - 09:31
Let me first start off by saying I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with this. Last night, I woke up to the feeling of wind or air or something rushing into my ear. Then, my entire body started to shake. I couldn't control any of my muscles to move or to open my mouth to say something. All this only lasted a few seconds. When I could move again, the lower part of my right leg got really hot, really cold, and really hot and then cold again. It really freaked me out. My mother had epilepsy due to a cyst in her brain when she was a teenager, and when I told her about this, she said it sounded like it was seizure to her. This isn't the first time something like this has happened, either. Once before, I woke up and had absolutely no control of my muscles for at least a minute. A couple other times, I started to shake terribly. I'm 17, so I'm sure you could understand how badly this scared me. My mother couldn't get her license at 16 because of her seizures, and she didn't have anything done about it until she was 21. Again, if anyone can give me any insight on this, it would be greatly appreciated. -Danni
