VNS Side Effects

Fri, 03/04/2011 - 12:25
My 14 year old son, Noah had the VNS device implanted in 2005. It saved his life. He went from having dozens of seizures per week to only a few every couple of months. But now it seems to be stressing him. He coughs every five minutes to the exact second. It is interfering with his sleep so he's tired all the time. He is autistic and cannot tell me if it is hurting him. I recently had the settings adjusted but it didn't help. I'm wondering if I should just live with this or if there's something I should do.
